Bowling [ ]
Wii Sports Bowling is similar to real-life bowling. The player attempts to knock down 10 pins with a ball. The player has 10 attempts with two bowls in each frame. Any of the pre-made Miis from the game, along with any Miis the player has created, or from the Mii Parade are frequently seen bowling in the other lanes and standing in the audience. The maximum score achievable is 300.
[Notes: The direction you throw your remote the direction the bowl rolls.]
Controls [ ]
In Wii Sports, the player can hold the B button to throw, and release the it when they are ready to throw. In Wii Sports Resort, there are two throwing styles: Automatic and Manual. For Automatic, the player needs to just hold the B button and swing the Wii Remote to throw the ball. With Manual, the player has to press and hold the B button to throw, and then let go of the button when you're ready to throw, just like in Wii Sports. Wii Sports Club Bowling uses the same control scheme as in Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort's Manual throwing style.
Bowling Ball Colors [ ]
- Blue / Cyan (Player 1)
- Pink / Red / Purple (Player 2)
- Green / Lime (Player 3)
- Gold / Yellow (Player 4)
Usually, player 1 will get the Blue ball with hints of Cyan , player 2 will get the Pink one with hints of Red and Purple , player 3 will get the Green one with hints of Lime , and player 4 will get the Gold one with hints of Yellow . You can also change your ball color by holding down the control pad before the game starts.

Wii Sports Resort [ ]
In Wii Sports Resort, there are two additional modes besides the standard one: 100-Pin Game and Spin Control. 100-Pin Game is like normal Bowling, but with 100 pins instead of 10. The maximum score that is achievable is 3000. Spin Control is normal Bowling, but with barriers. How these barriers are placed depends on how well the player bowls. In Wii Sports Resort, Bowling is held in the Bowling Alley.
See Bowling Stamps for the stamps that can be earned.
Inputs and secrets [ ]
- In Wii Sports, during the "Power Throws" bowling activity on the training menu, there is a way to hit all of the pins for the 91 pins round. Go all the way to the edge of the lane to the point where the bowling ball will sit on top of the lane. Then throw it at an angle where it won't fall off. A big explosion noise will occur and all the pins will fall.
- This does not work on the other stages however: doing this does absolutely nothing. This only works on the 91 pins stage.
Inputs [ ]
- In Bowling, the player can change the color of their ball by holding down on a part of the D-Pad (Up for blue, left for red, down for green, and right for yellow).

Trivia [ ]
- Bowling and Golf are the only sports in every Wii Sports game (Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort, Wii Sports Club, and Nintendo Switch Sports).
- In Wii Sports, the maximum confirmed skill level you can achieve without hacks is 2213.
- You can throw the ball into another person's lane. In Wii Sports, the crowd will laugh, but in Wii Sports Resort, the crowd will exclaim in surprise.
- It is possible to "hit" the pins in the other lane, but if you manage to do so, the ball will go through the pins.
- They also have "Split Spare" stamp. In 100-Pin Game, you can still earn a stamp if you use a secret strike method in every split spare situation, but it really depends on how easy getting a split is.
- This is mainly due to a glitch in their Internal ID's, since Shohei's ID is 60, while Sota's ID is 61.
